Is it realistic for a new graduate to consider locum tenens?
YES! Global Anesthesia Services has placed many new graduates in lucrative locum tenens assignments, past and present, and we look forward to many more new
grad placements in the future. Call toll free today and one of our friendly coordinators will be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.
Why pursue a permanent position through your service?
We make it easy! You don't have to make dozens of calls to the facilities in your area of interest. Instead, we provide you with a list of the positions
available in the areas you select. It is comprehensive data that allows you to compare and contrast the opportunities that are available. Next, we collaborate
with the facilities to arrange all of your interviews, including travel arrangements!
How do I get started?
Simply complete our online registration form after clicking the link on the left of this page. We will enter your information into our registry, and forward a
list of required documentation to you. Also, yo will receive free, no obligation, e-mail updates of positions that are available in your and/or in areas
where you are licensed.
What are realitic income expectations?
Most of our positions are currently posted at $95.00 - $105.00 per regular hour. A few are less and others are more. Rates are based on factors such as the
region, case types, critical need, etc. On average, a CRNA working locum tenens on a full-time basis (46 weeks per year) earns an average gross annual income
of $202,400. This amount is based on an average of 42.5 hours per week x $100 per hour plus $30 per diem for incidentals for each day worked for 46 weeks =
$202,400, plus lodging and travel expenses. Locum tenens CRNA's working with our registry that participate in call and overtime have incomes that far exceed
this example.
The permanent job market is quite competitive and diverse. Please call our office or inquire by email for the salary ranges and benefit package options in your area. There is no obligation to receive this information.
What about malpractice?
Most full-time locum tenens providers prefer to carry their own professional liability policy. Otherwise, we can arrange professional liability coverage for
your assignment.
